Speakeasy Crawl First Friday

First Friday is tonight from 6-9pm. Enjoy dozens of places to shop, dine & be entertained! PLUS! This month will include the following:

The Speakeasy Crawl involves 15 participating businesses! You start at Turpin at Gaslight Theatre and get the password for the first location, then you will get the password for the next location at each location you visit! The passwords could get you drinks, snacks, or special discounts!

Also get to PJ's, 220 N. Washington, to hear the tunes of Dually Noted. They'll have free Chili Cheese Nachos from Chef Bobby Nance.

Get Screened - It Could Save Your Life!

Breast cancer is very treatable when caught early, and mammograms, which are X-ray images of breasts, are a reliable screening test to detect it. Now, new draft recommendations recently released from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force urges all women to get screened every other year, starting at age 40. Labor Day Holiday Closings

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, the City of Enid Offices, Enid Animal Welfare, Enid Public Library, and Recycle Center will be closed on Monday, September 4th. And the Enid Public Transportation Authority (EPTA) will not be operating that day.

The landfill will be open with operating hours from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday.

The Meadowlake Golf Course first tee time will be at 7:30 a.m. and the course will close at 8 p.m. on Monday.

NOTE: All trash routes will remain the same for the holiday. There will be no changes to trash schedules.

Business Bits

Brown's Shoe Fit Enid hopes to open in the old Hastings Building next week. They'll have much more space. They are currently located in Westgate Shopping Center.

Mills Family Clinic is moving into the old Gary Hulse location at 108 W. Randolph.

United Way FREE “Our Community” Kickoff Event - United Way of Northwest Oklahoma is hosting a FREE Family Fun Campaign Kickoff Rally on Thursday, September 14, beginning at 6:00 PM, to raise awareness and support for its 14 nonprofit partner agencies.

The Beach Boys – who have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an American icon to fans around the world -- will bring their “America’s Band” tour to Stride Bank Center in Enid, OK, on September 30, 2023.
