The Annular Solar Eclipse takes place on Saturday, October 14! Forecast for Oklahoma looks great for viewing! This eclipse will not reach totality, but 70 to 80% coverage will occur in our area. The maximum coverage will be between 11:45am-Noon for Enid. It is not safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing.

As part of the 30th Annual Enid Lights Up The Plains they will be hosting one of the crowd favorite events, the Christmas Lights Parade! Pumpkins - Christ United Enid Pumpkin Patch will be open thru October 31, 2023. The Pumpkin Patch is located at 2418 W. Randolph on the corner of Cleveland and Randolph.

The Hospice Circle of Love Book Sale will be held on Friday, October 13 from 9:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday, October 14 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Hardback books are $1.00 and paperbacks are just .50. The biannual book sale is one of the main fundraisers for Hospice Circle of Love. Located in the storage building at 314 S. 3rd.

Kite Fliers have gathered in Enid for the 44th National Convention running October 9-14. Get out and watch the professional kite fliers. They will be flying all week long at Richard Dermer Memorial Flying Field, 1201 W Willow, behind Autry Tech.

Second Saturday is Saturday, October 14 from 4pm - 8pm at Sunset Plaza! Located at the corner of Cleveland & Garriott. Enjoy sales at plaza shops, a Makers’ Market, local beer and more!

Gaslight Theatre is cleaning out the costume loft and selling some of the extra items! Just in time for Halloween, come and put together a few costumes and enjoy the Halloween season! There will also be a few other items as well. All funds raised will go into general funds in support of Gaslight Theatre. Saturday, October 14th, 2023 at 9am in the Turpin at Gaslight.

The upcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show on November 3rd has been cancelled. All tickets purchased through Stride Bank Center have been refunded.
