Find out what's happening in and around Enid lately.
Happy New Year BuzzHeads!
If you’re anything like me, the calendar flips and suddenly you want to clean out a drawer, set a couple of goals, and promise yourself you’re going to get out of the house more.
The events calendar is still waking up from the holiday coma, so this week is more about finishing out a few holiday activities. And as soon as the schedules start filling in, you know I’ll be on it and keep you posted.
Stay in the know at EnidBuzz.com.

LOCAL NEWS
Enid Has A New Ambulance Service
Mercy Regional EMS has opened their eighth location in Enid. Their priority is to provide the community with a seamless emergency response transition, and they are working in close collaboration with Enid Fire Department and City of Enid to accomplish this.
This is the first time in more than 50 years, Enid has had a new ambulance service, with Mercy Regional of Oklahoma having finalized its acquisition of Life EMS.
Enid city commissioners voted Dec. 2 to approve the application by the Owasso company to operate an ambulance service here.
BUSINESS BUZZ
Expanded Departments Coming to Evans
You might have noticed some changes while shopping at Evans this holiday season. They are excited to announce that they are expanding their Home Medical Equipment Department, adding more brands for their Home Décor Section, and new toys for the Children's Department.
Evans strives to continue to bring products and brands to Enid that have not been available for our community. Joseph and Zach are a viable part of their business, and they need more space for their department to grow. The Home Medical Equipment Department will be moving into the main building of the store to give an adequate amount of space for growth.
Evans has been a staple in the Enid community since 1897 and will be around for many more years to come! 1106 W. Willow.

Thistle Creek Mercantile to Close
Mike & Sara Stuber have new opportunities which means Thistle Creek Mercantile, 1100 N. Van Buren St., will (most likely) be closing its doors. There is an opportunity for an entrepreneur! Here's the post with details:
They do not have a closing date set yet, but if they don't receive interest in the turn-key business fairly soon, they will start having sales on furniture and fixtures. Many of their vendors are already marking items down to sell quickly, so stop by and take advantage of some great sales.
