It’s Friday BuzzHeads!

Wow! What an evening in Enid, Oklahoma. That very large F3+ tornado hit the southern end of town really hard. Prayers to everyone affected by the storm. Here’s a shot of the twister as it went around Vance.

Vance AFB was spared major damage but the Gray Ridge area took the full brunt of the tornado. There will be weeks of cleanup and years of rebuilding.

City of Enid Parks and Recreation officials announce the opening of the Hoover and Champion splash pads for the 2026 season, beginning Friday, April 24th. The splash pad hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. The Hoover Splash Pad is located at 3000 West Oklahoma, and the Champion Splash Pad is located at 700 North 10th Street.

• APRIL 25
Shop the Market Neighborhood Shops Craft Show at the Stride Bank Center from 10am to 5pm. Lots of vendors full of gifts and merchandise and crafts. Admission is free. Giveaways.
