New Water Treatment Plant
The new Kaw Lake water pipeline is complete! The City of Enid will begin startup operations and testing at the new water treatment plant on Chestnut Avenue this week as part of the City’s ongoing investment in water infrastructure and long-term reliability.
Over the next 30 days, crews will test equipment, treatment processes, and dosing using water from Kaw Lake to ensure the facility is operating properly and meeting all state and federal water quality standards.
While this testing is underway, some treated water will be released into the drainage system—this is a normal and safe part of preparing the plant for full operation.
The discharge will be chemically free and safe to the aquatic life. The drainage will be through the normal water drainage systems.
