Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and there’s no shortage of red, white and blue happening around Enid and the surrounding area. From fireworks and family activities to live music, community celebrations and hometown traditions, this is one of those weeks where there’s something going on in almost every direction.
As always, we’ve gathered up the local events, reminders and updates to help you plan your holiday and your weekend. Be sure to check times, locations and any weather updates before heading out, and give yourself a little extra time if you’re traveling to area celebrations.
The summer heat is also making itself known, so stay hydrated, keep an eye on pets and neighbors, and be smart around fireworks and outdoor activities.

It’s time for a big red, white and blue celebration! There are a few fireworks celebrations this evening including Oakwood Country Club. Keep your pets safe.

Lab Opening Soon
Great news, Northwest Oklahoma! St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the reopening of its laboratory at St. Mary’s Family Physicians, located at 3517 W. Owen K. Garriott Road on the west side of Enid. The lab will reopen and be ready to serve patients on Monday, July 6.
Over the past several months, their team has worked diligently to recruit, train and prepare additional phlebotomists to fill critical positions, allowing them to once again provide convenient laboratory services at this location.
Laboratory Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
(Lunch: 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.)
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
(Lunch: 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

City Of Enid Holiday Closings
In observance of Independence Day (4th of July), the City of Enid Administration offices, Enid Animal Welfare closed on Friday, July 3rd.
The landfill will be open on Friday, July 3 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Saturday, July 4. The Meadowlake Golf Course will open on Friday, July 3 from 7 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 4 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Recycling Center and Enid Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.
Additionally, the Enid Public Transportation Authority (EPTA) will not be operating on Friday, July 3 or Saturday, July 4.
NOTE: All trash routes will remain the same for the holiday. There will be no changes to trash schedules.

July 4th Events in Enid
Here's the schedule for the Enid July 4th Celebration and Fishing Derby at Meadowlake Park.
Enjoy a full day of family-friendly fun, including rides, paddle boats, mini-golf, and an evening under the stars featuring a live flyover, an Enid Symphony Orchestra performance, and fireworks.

Hillsdale Firecracker 5K & Fun Run
Looking for a fun and local 5K? Join everyone on July 4th! The Hillsdale Firecracker 5K begins at 8AM and Fun Run at 9AM. Proceeds from the event go towards Hillsdale Booster Club.
You’ll enjoy a USATF-sanctioned course featuring a gently rolling loop through Hillsdale, Oklahoma—perfect for all paces.

It is a weekend of celebrating 250 years of America at Enid Speedway this weekend. Racing and Fireworks on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. Racing begins at 7:30pm each night with fireworks at dark. Races featuring the Hayden Ross Motorsports Foundation Sooner Late Models, Factory Stocks, Sport Mods/B Mods, Hot Shots/Tuners and Bombers. Concessions will be stocked with cold beverages and delicious food including an All-American favorite - pulled pork! As always children 12 and under are FREE!
