Of course, it wouldn’t be July in Oklahoma without the heat cranking up, too. Keep an eye on the forecast, drink plenty of water, check on pets and neighbors, and be smart if you’re spending time outdoors or around fireworks.

4th of July Celebrations
Get ready for a big red, white and blue celebration! The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, making it the perfect weekend for fireworks, family fun, parades, concerts, cookouts and community celebrations across the area.
This year also kicks off the countdown to America’s 250th birthday, making Independence Day feel even more special. Whether you’re looking for a hometown fireworks display, a full day of July 4th activities or a nearby celebration to enjoy with family and friends, we’ve rounded up local events happening in and around Enid.

Chisholm Trail Trade Days

City Of Enid Holiday Closings
In observance of Independence Day (4th of July), the City of Enid Administration offices, Enid Animal Welfare closed on Friday, July 3rd.
The landfill will be open on Friday, July 3 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Saturday, July 4. The Meadowlake Golf Course will open on Friday, July 3 from 7 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 4 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Recycling Center and Enid Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th.
Additionally, the Enid Public Transportation Authority (EPTA) will not be operating on Friday, July 3 or Saturday, July 4.
NOTE: All trash routes will remain the same for the holiday. There will be no changes to trash schedules.

Fill a standard grocery-size plastic bag with treasures for just $5. They have bags available for you! Individual items are $1 each if not in a bag. This sale is for their Pop Up Outlet location only.

July 4th Events in Enid
Here's the schedule for the Enid July 4th Celebration and Fishing Derby at Meadowlake Park.
Enjoy a full day of family-friendly fun, including rides, paddle boats, mini-golf, and an evening under the stars featuring a live flyover, an Enid Symphony Orchestra performance, and fireworks.

Hillsdale Firecracker 5K & Fun Run
Looking for a fun and local 5K? Join everyone on July 4th! The Hillsdale Firecracker 5K begins at 8AM and Fun Run at 9AM. Proceeds from the event go towards Hillsdale Booster Club.
You’ll enjoy a USATF-sanctioned course featuring a gently rolling loop through Hillsdale, Oklahoma—perfect for all paces.

All are invited to celebrate the 100th year anniversary and watch a special broadcast of the Tabernacle Choir Friday, June 26th at the Enid High School. Food trucks, bounce houses, photobooth, entertainment and activities for families will be at the South parking lot starting at 5:00pm. The broadcast starts at 7:00 in the EHS auditorium. And it's all FREE!
• JUNE 27
The City of Enid Parks and Recreation department will host the 2026 Cardboard and Duct Tape Boat Race from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 at Champlin Pool. For a full list of boat requirements, team racing rules, and registration form, go to Enid.org/BoatRace.
• JULY 18
The Enid Card & Collectibles Expo is coming Saturday, July 18th! Chisholm Trail Expo.
• JULY 21
