May First Friday & Firefighter Games

Take the family downtown for the May First Friday Fiesta + Firefighter Games tonight from 6-10pm! Here are a few highlights:

Hazardous Waste Disposal

The City of Enid will host its Annual Earth Day Celebration at Crosslin Park on Saturday, May 3rd. The event will include hazardous waste collection, recycling, food trucks and earth friendly fun for the family. Household Hazardous Waste Collection participants should enter from 1520 W. Oxford. A list concerning accepted and non-accepted materials and recyclables can be seen at https://www.enidbuzz.com/event/household-hazardous-waste-collection-day/.

Cleveland & Rupe Traffic Updates

The road closure on a portion of N Cleveland from Rolling Oaks Drive to Jumbo Foods has been extended to Monday, June 30th. Contractors continue asphalt work prompting the extension. As always, this closure will be contingent on weather.

Traffic on W Rupe could be slow this week! There will be intermittent lane closures for the eastbound and westbound traffic on a portion of W Rupe from S Garland to S Oakwood. Expect single lane access for traffic to allow contractors to complete road repairs. Work will last from Monday, April 28th to Friday, May 9th.

Business Networking Event

The Northwest Networking Professionals are Enid’s chapter of BNI: Business Networking International. They meet weekly with the sole intent to pass business. They are looking to grow their group with other professionals that want to see their business grow.

Join them on Wednesday, May 7th from 5:00-6:30pm at El Patio in Enid to learn more about how BNI can help your business. You’ll network with members of their group and make connections that can help skyrocket your sales. They’ll have a short presentation at 5:30pm so that you can learn about BNI and exactly what they can do to grow your business. Appetizers will be provided.

Military Spouse Event

You are invited to the "Unsung Heroes: Military Spouse Appreciation Brunch" on Saturday, May 3, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Stride Bank Center (Grand Ballroom). Splash Pads

City of Enid Parks and Recreation officials announce the opening of the Hoover and Champion splash pads for the 2025 season, beginning Friday, May 2nd. The splash pad hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. The Hoover Splash Pad is located at 3000 West Oklahoma, and the Champion Splash Pad is located at 700 North 10th Street.
