City of Enid Parks and Recreation officials announce the opening of the Hoover and Champion splash pads for the 2024 season, beginning today. The splash pad hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

The Hoover Splash Pad is located at 3000 West Oklahoma, and the Champion Splash Pad is located at 700 North 10th Street.

2024 Enid Home Show Has Begun!

The 2024 Enid Home Show runs April 26-28. Go see vendors that can help you with... remodeling or buying a new home, a new car, sprucing up the garden and backyard or find special gifts for Mother's, Father's Day, Birthdays or Graduations. Chisholm Trail Expo. Adults $5.00, 12 & Under are FREE.

April 26/Friday 12pm-7pm
April 27/Saturday 9am-7pm
April 28/Sunday 11am-5pm

The Carnival is at Oakwood Mall

WEEE Entertainment is back at Oakwood Mall with their family friendly carnival Sunday, April 28. Get 10% OFF Unlimited Wristbands by mentioning ENID BUZZ when purchasing! Let your friends know!

Open Monday-Friday at 6pm, Saturdays at noon and Sundays at 1pm weather permitting. Closing at 10-11pm each night depending on the crowd.

$33 per wristband per session: Mon-Friday 6-10pm, Saturday noon-5pm or 5-10pm and Sunday 1-5pm or 5-10pm. Wristbands allow unlimited rides for the session purchased. Or purchase Single tickets at $4 each, 10 tickets for $35 or 30 tickets for $100. Rides are 1 ticket per person except the Freak Out which is 2 tickets.

The ticket box and concessions accept cash or card. Games are played with tokens that may be purchased with cash or card. ATM’s are available.

Sherri Coale in Waukomis on Sunday

Former Sooner women’s basketball coach and Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Sherri Coale will speak on “Building a Winning Culture” Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Waukomis Community Church, 221 N. Main. Coaches and athletes are especially encouraged to attend.

Coale served at Sooner women’s basketball coach for 25 years, and was inducted into the national Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. She also was an inductee into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and Oklahoma Women’s Hall of Fame.

Coale coached the Sooners to a national title, three Final Four appearances, six Big 12 titles and had four All Americans and 14 All-Big 12 players on her teams.

There will be a fellowship coffee and doughnuts at 10 a.m., Coale will speak at the 10:45 a.m. worship service, and a pot luck lunch will take place at noon. Everyone is invited to take photos with the former coach.

Possible Storms on Saturday

Tomorrow (Saturday) will offer potential for a prolonged period/multiple waves of severe weather. This may begin by as early as mid-morning across western-north Texas into southwest Oklahoma and continue area wide through early Sunday morning. Remain aware!

St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center announces the resignation of Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer, Chris Jones. Jones has served as the COO for St. Mary’s for over two years and has acted as Interim CEO since the retirement of Krista Roberts on December 1, 2023.

Krista Roberts will be returning as Interim CEO for St. Mary’s until a new CEO is announced. Max Waits, Regional Director of Independent Physician Management, will be assisting with SMPA operations until a new Market Director is identified.

Enid High Musical - Local residents are invited to performances of music and entertainment when the Enid High School Vocal Music and Drama departments present “Footloose”. Tonight at 7 p.m. in the EHS auditorium. Adult tickets are $15 and student tickets are $10. Tickets will be available for purchase one hour before show time.
