Cherokee Strip Parade

Mark your calendar! The City of Enid celebrates the town’s 1893 founding at the annual Cherokee Strip Celebration September 13-14, 2024. The parade takes place September 14, 2024 at 10:30am and will be filled with fire trucks, floats, cars, marching bands and the traditional Longhorn steers.

Vintage Barn - Sherri Curtis has made the tough decision to close The Vintage Barn. It’s time for her to step down and build a new chapter in her life. They will be having a moving sale to help liquidate their inventory. The Vintage Barn name will effectively expire at 311 E. Maine on September 29 while Pat Griffin of JunkKing will be taking over under a new name. Vendors need not worry through this transition. It should be business as usual.

Whiskey Girlz Boutique - They are moving into the mini mall in Sunset Plaza! They are excited for this and the new vamping of the businesss. They are selling everything at rock bottom prices, but the custom made items. Fixtures and hangers for sale! Located in Sunset Plaza.

Costello’s Continental Cuisine is freshening up its approach. Costello's is located at 610 S. Cleveland, Ste 222 in Sunset Plaza. Under new hours, Costello’s will open Thursday through Saturday, and every other Sunday for brunch. On Thursday and Friday, lunch hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Dinner will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday evenings and 5-9 p.m. on Fridays. On Saturdays, the restaurant will host happy hours from 3-5 p.m., with affordable wine, beer, and appetizer offerings, followed by dinner hours from 3-9 p.m. Enjoy half-price wines like their Italian Placido Pinot Grigio or Hob Nob Pinot Noir from France, half-price beers like the Oklahoma-brewed Coop F5, and affordable appetizer pairings from chef’s kitchen. Also, every other Sunday, Costello’s will host reservation-only brunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring limited-menu brunch items straight from chef Costello’s kitchen. INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital - has big leader updates! Liz Partridge will lead INTEGRIS Health Medical Group Enid as the director of physician operations, Teresa Dunham has been selected as the community benefit specialist and Tina Crane will serve as the director of market development for the northern region.

Enid SOS had a grand opening for their new community resource center on August 24th They are located at 112 S. Jackson.

Farmers Market - Rowdy Stickhorse, 626 S. Hoover. Rain or Shine the market will open. Saturdays from 8am - Noon (NO EARLY SALES). Produce can include tomatoes, squash, potatoes, green beans, red onions, cucumbers and more. They also usually have a variety of seasonal fruits. The market may also have honey, eggs, flowers, pies, baked bread, jellies, dips, snacks and other foods.

Garfield County Free Fair is September 5-7. View agricultural exhibits and livestock shows. Sample delicious fair foods at the Garfield County Fair, as there will be many on-site vendors. All exhibits and commercial booths will be open for public viewing Thursday-Saturday 9 am-7 pm at the Expo Center.
