See 5 Planets Align!
Five planets — Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Uranus and Mars — will line up near the moon. The best day to catch the whole group is Tuesday. You’ll want to look to the western horizon right after sunset.
The planets will stretch from the horizon line to around halfway up the night sky. But don’t be late: Mercury and Jupiter will quickly dip below the horizon around half an hour after sunset.
Crystal Digging Begins April 1
Crystal digging is permitted April 1 through October 15, sunrise to sunset. No special permit is required. Collectors are permitted to remove up to 10 pounds of crystals plus one large cluster for their personal use per day. Take Hwy 64 west of Jet to the Salt Flats sign (about six miles), turn N on sand road to Salt Plains (about three miles), and one mile east on a paved road to the gate and follow the orange signs to ‘Dig Area'. More details.

From Trailer Home to Spaceship
Itinerant Immersive is a new company founded by Ben Ezzell, an attorney and artist based in Enid, OK. The goal of Itinerant Immersive is to develop a series of installations built into mobile platforms that can move from city to city.
The first traveling, interactive art piece will be housed in this single-wide mobile home. The manufactured home traveled via trailer through Enid to land at Atelier, where it will remain as it is transformed by a team of artists, into a magnificent space ship. Watch their YouTube channel.

Question of the Week
If Enid had a big annual “Fest” of some kind, what things would you like to be included?
Reply to this email with your responses. I’ll post a few answers in the next Enid Insider.
Last Week’s Responses
QUESTION: If you were mayor, what would be the first thing you would change or fix in Enid, Oklahoma?
Denny Mendenhall - “Bring in a big department store such as Belks or Kohl’s.”
Tony Weedn - “If I were Mayor for a day to fix something, I would fix the lights on Garriott and say after 9PM they would all blink yellow so when you are on the main road of Garriott you would never have to stop at a red light.”
Gary Pravecek - “If i was the mayor. We need someplace to buy quality clothing. All the new ones in the last few years are just junk stuff.”
James "Pat" Bandy - “First thing I would change, if possible, would be to increase the infrastructure budget. It is currently at 4% which I find unacceptable. No wonder the town looks the way it is.”
