Walker’s Western Store Opens
The Walker Family
We’d like to welcome Walker’s Western Store to downtown Enid! The new Enid location is at 128 W. Randolph in the former C.M. Miller building on Randolph. Many local residents also remember the building being home to S&Q Clothiers.
Ready or not the Walker's are hosting a ribbon cutting for the store on Thursday, September 14 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. They will be celebrating with some complimentary beverages from Settlers Brewing Co. to kick off this next adventure! Everyone is invited!
Regular hours will start Friday, September 15th and Saturday, September 16th from 9:00am to 6:00pm! LEARN MORE.

Cherokee Strip Celebration & Parade
The City of Enid celebrates the town’s 1893 founding at the annual Cherokee Strip Celebration September 15-16, 2023. The parade takes place September 16, 2023 at 10:30am and will be filled with fire trucks, floats, cars, marching bands and the traditional Longhorn steers.
Friday, September 15th
11am-1pm Cherokee Strip Celebration – Lunch Rush, Indian Taco & Drink for $10, courthouse lawn
7:30pm - Outdoor concert at the Stride Bank Center
Saturday, September 16th
9a-1:30p Cherokee Strip Festival – food and vendor booths open on courthouse lawn
10:30 am Cherokee Strip Parade, downtown Enid
Sign Up for the Great Land Run
More than four hundred individual runners are expected to gather at Chisholm Trail EXPO Pavilion on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, to raise funds for the Great Land Run Education Foundation, which was founded in 2008 with the goal to support Chisholm and Enid public school districts.
Presented by Triangle Insurance and Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies, the 16th annual Great Land Run race will be a fun-filled, rain or shine event featuring a USATF certified 5K and 10K course with a 7:30 am start, and a half-marathon course starting at 6:30 am.
Race day registration begins at 5:30 am. All runners who pre-register by Aug. 18, 2023, will receive a long-sleeved t-shirt in their race packet, and all finishers will receive a newly custom-designed finisher medal.

Live Music Saturday Night
Time to buy your tickets for this weekend's concert at Atelier. It's going to be winter soon and you'll wish you could sit outside and listen to live music with Dan Martin and Gene Williams! Weather forecast looks good. $25 includes one free drink. Food truck on site. September 16 at 6:30pm at 325 E. Maple.
If you don't want to buy online at www.atelier339.org, you can buy tickets at the front desk of the Nonprofit Center, 114 S. Independence.

Brown's Shoe Fit Enid is open in the old Hastings Building! They have much more space and invite you to stop by!
Car Wash - They are working on the new business at the old Sonic location on W. Garriott. The owners of the land are IQ Car Wash. They currently have Oklahoma locations in Blackwell, Ponca City, Stillwater, Owasso and Bartlesville.

United Way FREE “Our Community” Kickoff Event - United Way of Northwest Oklahoma is hosting a FREE Family Fun Campaign Kickoff Rally on Thursday, September 14, beginning at 6:00 PM, to raise awareness and support for its 14 nonprofit partner agencies.
The Big Cruise and Car Show is happening in Alva September 15th, 16th, and 17th for . Friday night kicks into gear with early bird registration, free cookout, and a cruise. Saturday slams in with hot cars, trucks, motorcycles, food trucks and autocross. Saturday night lights up with smoking burn outs, race car exhibitions and cruising the night away. Plainsmen Football kicks off at home against Edmond North Friday, September 15 at 7:00pm at D. Bruce Selby Stadium.
Shakespeare in the Park runs September 15-17 at 8pm nightly. Presented Free in Government Springs Park. Bring your picnic, a lawn chair, and enjoy a night with the Bard under the stars at Government Springs Park.
